UTEP is self-insured under The University of Texas System WCI office, which administers the program from offices located in Austin, Dallas, El Paso and Houston. The El Paso office is operated by Sandra Chavez, Claims Adjuster. The office is located on the UTEP campus, 1st Floor, Administration Building.    

    The UTEP WCI Advisor, is responsible for all employer functions related to WCI, which includes providing assistance to employees who experience on the job injuries, electronic reporting of claims to the insurance carrier, and WCI training.
