How can I upload a file?
Click on ‘Upload’ and browse to the file you would like to store and click on ‘Start Upload’.
How can I download a file?
Double click on the file and it will open within the respective application. To download for save on a USB drive, right-click on the file and choose ‘Save to Desktop’ or ‘Save to Zip file’ if you’ll be adding more for the download.
How can I share a file with another person?
Right-click on the file and choose ‘Manage’. You can also highlight the file and click on ‘Manage’ on the main tool bar. Click on Permissions and on the right click on Add User/Group button. Then, you will type in their username or click on ‘Search for Users’. Next, type in their last name and a list of user(s) should appear. Once their name is added, click on the appropriate access you would like to grant them. You may choose ‘Read Only, Read Write Delete or Read Write Delete Administer.’
How can I inform my recipient that I’ve shared a file(s) with them?
Check the box off next to the file name and click on ‘Email’ on the tool bar. Type in their username and last name, first name in the ‘To:’ field. You also have the option of sending an e-mail to yourself. The links and bookmarks will be added to the table once the e-mail is sent. Click on Send and your recipient will be notified.
An e-mail will be sent about the shared file. From the e-mail, your recipient has the choice to bookmark the location or just open the file.
What is WebDrive?
WebDrive automatically connects to your MSpace storage as a network drive through My Computer when you visit a computer lab workstation. When you save a document, file, browse to your mSpace drive to save to your mSpace storage.
Can a student organization have file storage space on mspace?
Yes. Complete the Student Organization Form and have it approved by your college dean, department chair, director, vice president or the president.
